North Norfolk Marmalade Awards

It's the height of the Seville Orange season and many of our customers have been buying handfuls of oranges with the intention of converting these into delicious marmalade. Which made us think. Why not have a little fun? With that in mind we are launching what we believe to be the very first North Norfolk Marmalade Making Awards #NNMMA.

The awards take place on Saturday 11th March 2017 and they are part of Norfolk Deli’s 'Showcase Saturdays”. These start on the 25th February 2017 and take place on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month.

“we know there are many  talented amateur Marmalade makers, and we wanted to not only showcase local producers who sell their produce professionally, but we also wanted to celebrate the skills of those living in the community" said Rosie Kacary director and co-owner of The Norfolk Deli.

Rosie will also be one of the judges, and she'll be joined on the day by Ali Barwick who owns and runs the Norfolk jam and marmalade business Seasons Bounty and who is herself a champion marmalade maker. She will be one of the showcased producers attending Showcase Saturday and has very kindly accepted our invitation to be one of the judges. Come and taste/buy her produce before she and Rosie carry out the judging.
