Covid-19 delivery service update

We have seen a manageable increase in our order volumes. As our dispatch capacity fills up, we are closing delivery days. 

Due to the volume of orders both ourselves and our couriers are handling at the moment, your order may arrive 1-3 days either side of your preferred date. Rest assured that the cheese is not in transit for an extended time. We appreciate your understanding. 

Please keep a 2m distance from delivery drivers at all times. As a precaution, APC drivers are offering safe place/no signature required delivery only. For both yours and their own personal safety, many drivers do not ring doorbells or knock. Please keep an eye out for your order within the delivery window provided. We cannot accept responsibility for goods lost or stolen after delivery.

If you are self isolating, please leave a note on your door with details of your preferred safe place. 

Due to the high demand during the COVID-19 pandemic, we cannot guarantee delivery dates.




You can order online in advance and choose a day you’d prefer your cheese to arrive. To ensure the best possible chance of a next day delivery we ask that orders are placed by 9am. Any time later than that may mean that there will be a 24 hour delay in arranging a collection. During peak times lead times can extend to up to 48 hours prior to delivery. Due to the covid-19 pandemic, we are operating as in peak until further notice. If you are ordering cheese for a special occasion, be sure to select a preferred delivery date a day or two before your event in case of courier delays. For example, if your event is over the weekend, it is best to choose Wednesday as the estimated delivery day. 

We deliver to every postcode in the UK Tuesday to Friday each week (excluding Tuesdays after Bank Holidays). Orders are delivered by APC Couriers, your cheese is cut fresh to order, wrapped and packed by hand and delivered on the day you choose. Any orders placed after noon on a Thursday will not be sent out until first Monday following the date of the order so as to avoid cheeses being stored in unsuitable conditions.

We always endeavour to send out orders placed by 12 noon on the date of order but this is not a guarantee and cannot be relied on as courier collection times are not exact. If you require delivery for a specific date please ensure that you have placed your order by 8.30am  Monday-Thursday for next day delivery. 




As with all our deliveries, we use an external courier. In the vast majority of cases they do a wonderful job with deliveries arriving in the right place at the right time. As we are outsourcing the delivery, we cannot guarantee arrival times. If you have questions regarding your delivery or you would like us to liaise with the couriers on your behalf, please contact us.

Please include a mobile number when you place your order. Failure to do so means APC will be unable to notify you of the delivery, your cosignment number and the 2 hour window when you can expect delivery.

.If you were out at time of delivery and you've received a ‘Sorry we missed you’ card or an email notification of an attempted delivery, use the APC Called tool to reschedule your delivery or arrange a collection from your local APC depot.



A next day delivery means that we have passed your order onto APC couriers who are a next day delivery service company and that they should (although there are no guarantees) deliver the parcel the day after collecting this from us. It does not mean that you will recieve your parcel within 24 hours of placing the order. If you have a specific deadline date please make sure that you include this date on your order. 


  • If you are ordering cheese for a special event/occasion please give suffcient notice. All our cheese is handmade and comes from small dairies. We cannot guarantee that what you order will be in stock, we also cannot guarantee that it is being made by the cheesemaker, if in doubt please contact us for advice.
  • If you are ordering for a gift or special occasion we advise to always allow an extra day incase of any unforeseen courier delays.

  • We advise customers to leave instructions on where your order can be safely left if you are not going to be in – you will find a delivery notes box on our checkout page.
  • APC will attempt to deliver your parcel twice, if you are not in on both occasions to take the delivery and it can’t be left safe then it will go back to the depot and cannot be reattempted due to the perishable nature of the products. We suggest sending your cheese to a work address if you feel delivery is difficult or the consignment can’t be left safe.
  • On arrival of your cheese, open the box, remove the ice pack if there is one (these are included in warmer months and will gradually defrost during transit – this is normal) and put your cuts of cheese in the fridge to chill and firm up after being in transit.



To cancel your order, please let us know as soon as possible. If you (the purchaser) change your mind after the hamper has been delivered, please contact us within 14 days of receiving your goods. Once you’ve contacted us saying you wish to return your hamper, you have another 14 days to return the goods. If the goods are being returned because of a change of heart, you, the purchaser, are liable for the costs of returning the goods

We regret we cannot offer a refund for the following:

  • Perishables (for example cheese)
  • Where a date has expired whilst in your possession.
  • Items have been opened.

If you wish to cancel your order we would ask that you let us know as soon as possible. Cancellations are accepted up to 24 hours prior to collection. We are unable to offer a refund for cancellations made on the morning of collection.



Our cheeses are cut fresh to order, once cut we put a 12 day best before date on all of our cheeses. Certain cheeses will last longer than this advised date. We always advise eating your cheese as fresh as possible. Each item will have a best before date on the packaging when it arrives.



We are very mindful of using too much plastic in our packaging and want to make our boxes and their contents eco-friendly. Therefore we have made a conscious effort to make as much of our packaging as recyclable as we can.
